Birthday party for one

In these days, when no big parties with friends are possible, the alternative is a birthday party for one! I gave this little set to a dear colleague and want to to show you what I made…

Es muß nicht der 90. Geburtstag sein / It doesn’t have to be the 90th birthday

For those outside Germany: In German TV it is a tradition for many years to broadcast an old TV sketch by English comedian Freddie Frinton. It is legendary and on New Year’s Eve it is always broadcasted by many TV stations. Storyline is about a 90 years old lady that wants to celebrate her birthday with a dinner with four of her best – but unfortunately already passed away – friends.

Her butler is responsible for preparing the meal and serving the dishes. He also has to play the role of each friend with their typical characteristics – especially the drinking. There are several course, each accompanied by another drink. And as he has to imitate each of them through the whole dinner, you might imagine, how this will end… It is really funny and in English! If you wanna have a look, I found it on youtube. Sorry for bad quality, I haven’t found a better one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n7VI0rC8ZA

Die Box / The box

The old lady and her butler would have been definitely Corona compliant. She has only imaginary guests on her party.

Birthday party for one

My Birthday Party for one box is perfect for a little party with oneself. I made the slip lid box with my score board and matted it with that starry paper.

Feier-Utensilien / Party implements

Although there is no alcohol in my Birthday party for one box, but everything you may need for a party on your own. I made something similar for New Years Eve, my New Year’s Eve party pack.

Birthday party for one

Beside a mini cake, a candle with matches, confetti and a balloon I added some soap-bubles. Even though this young lady isn’t this young any more. Who says one can’t have a little bit fun with soap bubbles?

Die Inspiration / The inspiration

I found the original idea for my Birthday Party for one Box on MiriD’s blog, where she presented a birthday party construction kit.

I really hope that we can party together again soon. All night long! Have a nice week!

    1. Ja! Absolut! 🙂
      Liebe Grüße
