Blumiges Gatefold-Folio / Bloomy Gatefold-Folio

Wieder einmal in der wunderbar frühlings-frischen Farbkombi rosa-grün kommt mein blumiges Gatefold-Folio daher. Und das Format ist… Du darfst dreimal raten…

Again in that wonderful fresh spring color combination pink-green there comes my bloomy gatefold-folio. And it’s format is… You may guess three times…

Ich kann es nicht lassen / I can’t help

Da ist es schon wieder… das Quadrat. Porto-unfreundlich, aber irgendwie so schön symmetrisch. Vermutlich ist es der Monk (erinnerst du dich an die TV Serie mit Adrian Monk?) in mir, der mich immer wieder zu diesem Format greifen läßt. 😉

There it is again… Square. Not good for postage, but somehow nice symmetrical. Probably it is the Monk (do you remember TV series with Adrian Monk?) in me, that lets me do this again and again. 😉

Der magnetische Verschluß versteckt sich im Quadrat in der Mitte und hält die beiden Hälften der Vorderseite zusammen.

Under that square in the center there is hidden a magnet that holds both parts of that front together.

Mittig geöffnet / Gatefold

Wie schon hier oder hier, habe ich für meine Karte wieder mal ein Quadrat als Basis gewählt. Wobei es eher schon ein kleines Folio ist, denn es gibt einiges zum Ausklappen.

As I did here and here, I chose a square as base for my card again. It is more a folio, because there are some flaps.

Geöffnet kommt auf dem Gatefold-Folio noch mehr blumiges Designpapier mit den zuckersüßen Motiven von BoBunny zum Vorschein. Den Schmetterling habe ich aus Cardstock und farbigem Vellum ausgestanzt. Das Quadrat verbirgt übrigens eine Tasche, in der sich ein Gutschein oder Geld verstecken läßt.

Opening the center there is more of that wonderful design paper from BoBunny with bloomy and sweet motifs. I die cut the butterfly from cardstock and colored vellum. Hidden behind the square in the center there is a pocket, in which a coupon or money can be tucked.

Klappt man nun die Mitte nach unten erscheinen weitere Motivationssprüche und Motive.

Opening the flap to the bottom there come more motivation slogans and motifs.

Das Papier habe ich übrigens auch bei einem Album-Workshop bei Scrapbookheaven verwendet. Das zeige ich euch demnächst auch noch.

Ganz offen / Completely open

Die letzte Klappe geht nach oben auf und hier findet sich nun auch noch ein Plätzchen für persönliche Worte oder die Unterschrift.

Final flap opens to the top. There is space for some individual words or signature.

So ein Gatefold-Folio ist eine einfache Möglichkeit, viel Dekorationsraum und Papiere auf kleinem Raum unterzubringen, egal ob als blumiges oder mit anderen Motiven. Auch als Mini-Fotoalbum oder wenn man vielleicht viel schreiben möchte, ist das eine schöne Lösung.

Such a gatefold-folio is an easy alternative for a lot of decoration and papers in a small space, whether with bloomy or other motifs. It is a nice solution as a mini photo album or if you want to write a lot.

Womit vertreibst du dir denn deine Zeit? Derzeit ist es ja zwar schön draußen, aber für Gartenarbeit noch ein wenig kühl. Sich momentan eine Erkältung zu holen, ist vermutlich keine gute Idee… Am Wochenende soll es aber wärmer werden. Dann findet man mich wieder im Garten.

How do you spend your time? It is nice and sunny outside, but too cool for gardening. So, it is no good idea to catch a cold at present… But it will be warmer on the weekend. Then you will find me in our garden.

Bis dahin bleibe ich aber kreativ an der Papierfront und schaue mal, was als nächstes von meinem Basteltisch hüpft.
