Here comes a sweet dotted birthday card! An adorable motif, beautiful colors and a bit of glamour makes this girly card perfect. Let’s cling glasses….
Zeit zum Feiern / Time to celebrate
Meine beste Freundin hatte Geburtstag und ich hatte Lust auf eine Mädchenkarte – aber ohne rosa! Und da ich dieses Motiv von Stampingbella so entzückend finde, habe ich eine Geburtstags Karte mit ganz vielen Pünktchen dazu gestaltet.
It was my best friend’s birthday and I felt like doing a girl’s card – but without pink! And as I like this motif from Stampingbella so much, I made a birthday card with a lot of dots out of it.
Und natürlich – wie konnte es anders sein – bin ich schon wieder im quadratischen Format gelandet… Mehr Quadratisches findest du bei den Glam Rock Karten hier und hier , bei der Verlobungskarte oder auch bei dieser lustigen Männerkarte. Das Pünktchen Papier erinnert mich ein wenig an Konfetti und paßte insofern wunderbar auf eine Geburtstags Karte. Ein wenig Glanz kommt mit den goldfolierten Punkten dazu.
Of course I landed – how could it be any different – in square format again… You can find more square format for example with the glam Rock cards here and here , the engagement card or with this funny men’s card. That dotted paper reminds me somehow of confetti and was perfect for a birthday card. A bit of glamour comes with the gold foiled dots.
Gut und schlecht / Good and bad
Was mir hier wirklich gut gefällt ist die Coloration. Ich habe die Stabilo Aquarellstifte dieses Mal nicht mit Wasser vermalt. Das hat ganz gut geklappt.
I really like how the coloration went out. This time I didn’t use water to overwork the Stabilo watercolor pencils. Seems, it had been a good decision.
Was nicht gut geklappt hat, war das Ausschneiden mit der Cameo. Ich habe das wie üblich mit der PixScan Funktion im Silhouette Studio gemacht. Allerdings habe ich versehentlich vergessen, die Schnittkorrektur vor dem Starten des Schneidejobs durchzuführen. Dadurch ist der Offset – der schmale weiße Rand um das Motiv – leider etwas verschoben. Aber es hat ja so gerade noch hingehauen und die Mädels waren mir zu schade, um sie wegzuwerfen. Nächstes Mal muß ich besser aufpassen!
Unfortunately, cutting with the Cameo didn’t work well this time. I did it as usual with PixScan feature in Silhouette Studio. However, I forgot to adjust the cutting before starting the cutting job. Thats why the offset – that narrow white border around the motif – is slightly shifted. But luckily it has just worked and the girls were simply too good to dump them. Next time I’ll have to better take care!
Hoch die Tassen! / Bottoms up!
Auch das Innere ist farblich passend gestaltet und mit einem weiteren Stempelmotiv von Stampingbella ergänzt.
I designed the inside in matching colors and another stamped motif from Stampingbella.
Ich habe wieder mit den Stabilo Stiften coloriert und ebenfalls nicht mit Wasser vermalt.
I colored it with the Stabilo pens again and didn’t use water, too.
Auch dieses Muster aus dem Papierblock hat ein wenig Schimmer in den weißen Streifen.
This pattern from the paper pad has a bit of shimmer in the white stripes.
Umschlag / Envelope
Wie üblich passte auch diese Karte nicht in einen normalen Umschlag. Also war wieder Selbermachen angesagt.
As usual, this card didn’t fit into a usual envelope. So, it was time for some DIY again.
Gefalzt ist er mit dem Envelope Punch Board und verschlossen mit einer Banderole.
I scored it with the Envelope Punch Board and closed it with a banderole.
Ein weiterer Bogen mit Pünktchen aus dem gleichen Papierblock verziert zusammen mit dem Stempel von Create a Smile die Banderole.
Another sheet of paper with dots from the same paper pad decorates the banderole together with the stamp from Create a Smile.
