Nicht nur in rot und blau, sondern auch in türkis funktioniert meine Karte mit Weihnachtsstern. Die Akzente sind dann nicht mehr gold, sondern diesmal silber. Laß uns mal einen Blick darauf werfen…
Not only red and blue, but my poinsettia card in teal works very well. The accents are not golden, but silver this time. Let’s have a look…
Neue Farbvariante / New Color Version
Wie ich schon sagte, mir war nach Abwechslung in meiner Serienproduktion. Und nach der klassisch roten und der knallig blauen Variante war mir noch nach einer etwas “frostigeren” Version.
As I said before, I wanted a bit more variety in my batch production. And after the classic red and the poppy blue version I went for a more “frosty” alternative.
Das schwarze Quadrat ist auch wieder mit Spiegelkarton hinterlegt – diesmal in silber. Leider kommt das auf den Fotos nur schlecht rüber.
That black paper is matted with mirrored carton – in silver this time. Unfortunately you can’t see it here on the picture.
Stempelei / Stamping
Die Weihnachtsstern Konturen habe ich mit meiner Tonic Stamp Platform abgestempelt, bevor ich sie in türkis coloriert habe. Das macht besonders bei so leicht strukturierten Papieren wie hier beim Aquarellpapier Sinn, um einen sauberen Abdruck zu erreichen.
I stamped the poinsettia outlines with my Tonic Stamp Platform, before I colored them in teal. That is very helpful, especially with textured paper like this watercolor paper, to achieve a crisp print.
Auch hier habe ich wieder mit 3 Farbtönen der Distress Colors gearbeitet. Diesmal waren es Broken China, Salvaged Patina und Peacock Feathers.

Glanz und Glitzer / Shine and Glitter
Natürlich mußte auch hier ein wenig Glitzer mit Hilfe von Stickles auf die Blüte. Da muß ich wirklich sagen, die Stickles halten sich schon ewig bei mir. Ich benutze sie nur selten (warum eigentlich?) und trotzdem funktionieren sie immer noch einwandfrei.
Of course this blossom needed some glitter with the help of Stickles. I must admit, those Stickles keep up for a very long time. I used them only rarely (why, actually?) and they still work perfectly.
Und auch das silberne Embossing hat wieder perfekt geklappt.
That silver embossing worked like a charm again.
Passend im Inneren / Matching inside
Die Innenseiten habe ich natürlich farblich passend gestaltet.
Of course I created the inner sides in matching colors.
Auch hier sieht man leider den silbernen Spiegelkarton nicht richtig, aus dem ich die Kerzen gestanzt habe.
You can’t see the candles die-cut from silver mirrored carton very well, unfortunately.
Frostig / Frosty
Ich finde, der Weihnachtsstern in türkis sieht ein bißchen frostig aus, aber das passt doch super zu den Temperaturen momentan…
I think, the poinsettia in teal looks a bit frosty, but this is perfect for those temperatures outside, currently…
Nun sind wir aber wirklich im Endspurt auf das große Fest. Wenn du jetzt denkst, das war’s dann aber mit Farbvarianten, dann muß ich dir sagen: Nö, eine hab ich noch! 😉 Ich würde mich freuen, wenn du mich also auch morgen wieder besuchst.
