Tag of the month – March

Nun ist der März schon fast wieder vorbei und ich habe noch gar kein Tag of the month March gezeigt. Das will ich dann heute mal noch flott nachholen! Es wird Frühling…
March is almost over and I haven’t shown a Tag of the month yet. Today I will catch up on it! Spring is coming…

Frühlingsanfang / Beginning of spring

Nachdem es im Januar ja noch recht frostig war auf meinem Tag of the month und es auf meinem Tag im Februar regnete wird es diesmal deutlich frühlingshafter!
After frosty Tag of the month in January and that rainy tag in February it is getting definitely more springlinke this time!

Frühlingsfarben, Frühlingsblume und ein erster Schmetterling – der Winter hat jetzt ausgedient!
Spring colors, spring flower and a first butterfly – winter is outdated!

Schimmernde Details / Shimmering details

Nachdem ich das Ornament mit Crackle Paste schabloniert hatte, habe ich mit diversen Distress Ink und Oxide Sprays Farbe auf dem Tag verteilt.
After stenceling the ornament with Crackle Paste, I spread several Distress Ink and Oxide sprays onto the tag.

Danach habe ich die Risse im Ornament noch mit etwas Distress Crayons betont. Was leider immer schwer auf Fotos einzufangen ist, ist der zauberhafte Schimmer, den einige Spritzer Distress Mica Stains hinzugefügt haben.
Afterwards I accentuated those crackles in the ornament with some Distress Crayons. Unfortunately a photo doesn’t catch the beautiful shimmer, that were added with some spritzes with Distress Mica Stains.

Stanzen-Puzzle / Die-cut puzzle

Dann habe ich die Tulpe aus einem neuen Stanzen-Set zusammengepuzzelt. Diese Colorize Die ist zwar nicht von Meister Holtz, aber auch aus dem Hause Sizzix.
Then I assembled the tulip from a new stamp set. This colorize die isn’t from Master Holtz, but comes from Sizzix, too.

Und sie ist relativ einfach zusammen zu puzzeln, wenn man den Cardstock vorher gleich auf doppelseitigem Klebeband aufklebt. Das erleichtert das anschließende Schichten ganz enorm.
It is relatively easy to put together if you mount the cardstock on doublesided adhesive before die-cutting. That makes assembly way more easy.

Dreidimensional / Threedimensional

Den Schmetterling habe ich nach dem Ausstanzen und Colorieren mit Prägewerkzeugen dreidimensional geformt.
I shaped the butterfly after die-cutting and coloring with embossing tools threedimensionally.

Leider sieht man hier nicht, daß auch der Schmetterling ganz zauberhaft schimmert.
Unfortunately again you can’t see the delicate shimmer of the butterfly.

Sei dankbar / Be thankful

Dankbar sein. Das können wir alle, die wir in Frieden und Wohlstand leben. Umso mehr momentan.
To be thankful. We all that are living in peace and wealth can be thankful. More than ever at present.

Wie ich den Schriftzug so farbig hinbekommen habe? Ganz einfach: Zunächst in Kitsch Flamingo gestempelt, danach die Kanten des Schriftzuges vorsichtig am oberen und unteren Rand mit dem Ground Espresso Stempelkissen eingefärbt und einfach nochmal drübergestempelt. Mit einer Stempelhilfe – ich liebe ja meine von Tonic – eine ganz einfache und präzise Sache.
How I made the characters so colored? Very simple: First stamped in Kitsch Flamingo, then inked the edges of the stamp carefully with Ground Espresso ink pad and stamped over it. This works easily with a stamping tool – I love mine from Tonic.

Frühlingsfarben / Spring colors

Mit diesen frisch-fröhlichen Frühlingsfarben auf meinem Tag of the month March sende ich dir liebe Grüße zum letzten Sonntag im März. Ich hoffe, du hast nicht vergessen, deine Uhr umzustellen?
With these fresh and cheerful spring colors on my Tag of the month I send you kind greetings for last Sunday in March. I hope you haven’t forgotten to adjust your clock?

Falls doch, auch nicht schlimm. Bestenfalls hast du heute ja keine Verpflichtungen. Ich habe jedenfalls keine und werde gleich mal schauen, was mir heute noch so einfällt. Hab einen tollen Sonntag!
